I am disabled,and i need help with my bills!

Hi Shortydh, I am sorry for your situation, and I can defiantely understand your stress. We are having a terribly difficult time ourselves, and we are completely unable to get disability for our son, so if you can get the disability, thank God for that! I know for sure, that if you would check with a disability advocate (through resource and referal, or even a community referal from a hospital or whatever doctors that are farmiliar with your situation) You can request financial aid for your utilities, even through the Salvation Army (which is in every town)Especially if you have a disconection notice. Also some good resources are your local food bank, the United Way, Cirsis Pregnancy Center (they can help you with your child diapers/food/clothing vouchers) No one will let your place be taken away in the dead of winter if you are vigilent and honest with people about your sistuation. Beleive me, we have had to humble ourselves several times and receive assistance if it was avaiable, But for us, many things are a one time help, and usually someone kind of helped us when they treuly couldn't, just because they knew our son was truely in need of help. For us, we are in a diffrent income bracket than the typical eligibility, so we are almost always turned down. But it souldn't like if you are unemployed, and especially a single mom (been there too years ago, and it's not easy) that between the disability agencies available to you, and also even benevolance funds from churches, St. Francisis of Cabrini, Traveler's Aid...all of these National severices will be listed with your local resource and referal group. Plus there is probably grant money available to you, and if you have a hard time filling out forms, you can seek out a voulenteer through a community college/university or even get an advocate to help you. I will pray that you do receive the money you need. There are things you can still do at home even on line. Also I think that Paypal is free to sign up for, and it just gets connected to your checking account. There is a VERY small fee taken out of the amount someone would give you through it. I have paypal, and it didn't cost anything if I am remembering correctly, to set up. Please do not give anoyne your personal information or address on line. I know you must feel desperate, as do I, but your safety, and your baby's safefty is more important. Though many people who look at this site might have a right heart or good intentions, all it would take is one with out, and you could really be regerting it. Please be careful, and try to trust the Lord, that somehow, through it all He will help you. I know He has blessed us trememdosly, and yes we are struggeling, and this site may or may not help, but please please don't allows your stress or feeling of helplessness over come your right thinking.
